Road scene · Parking scenes
Keep 20 metres clear before a bus stop sign and 10 metres clear after it.
What it means
A bus has pulled in at the kerb beside a green BUS sign, and a red band along the road edge shows where nobody else may stop. A measure under the kerb marks 20 metres on the side the bus arrives from and 10 metres on the side it leaves by. White cars are parked only beyond those limits. The clear kerb lets the bus swing in to the stop and back out into traffic.
Measure the clear space from the bus stop sign, not from the shelter.
Keep the full 20 metres clear on the side the bus arrives from.
Leave 10 metres free past the sign, unless another sign allows parking.
