What it means

What does the curve warning sign with advisory speed sign mean in NSW?

A raised yellow diamond holds a thick black arrow curving up and to the right, and under it hangs a yellow plate reading 35 km/h. The arrow warns of the bend; the plate gives the safe speed through it in good conditions. It is advice, not a red ring limit, but it is set for a reason. On a wet road, go slower than the number shows.

What to do

  1. 1

Brake to the plate speed before the bend, while the car is straight.

  2. 2

Drop lower still when the surface is wet.

  3. 3

Keep to your side of the road all the way round.
