Road scene · Safety and crashes
Clip the top tether strap to the car's own child restraint anchor point, as the maker's instructions say.
What it means
This view is inside the car, from the side. A grey rear-facing capsule rests on the back seat cushion, with the baby facing the seat back. A yellow strap runs from the capsule up over the top of the seat back and down to a small ring on the parcel shelf behind it, labelled anchor point and marked with a green tick. That ring is the fitting made for the tether.
Find the child anchor point the car maker provides for that seat.
Run the tether over the seat back and clip it on, following the restraint's instructions.
Use only an approved restraint, fitted the way its maker sets out.
Right. Not quite. The answer is B.
A child restraint must be fitted to the correct anchor point and used the way the maker's instructions say.
