Regulatory sign · Parking and stopping
Do not stop at all, even for a moment, where this sign applies.
What it means
On a white plate with a red border, an empty red ring with a red slash sits above the words NO STOPPING. It is the strictest kerbside sign. Within the stretch it covers you may not pull up for any reason: not to let a passenger out, not to read a map, not to wait for a friend. The only exceptions are an emergency, being held up in traffic, or another rule making you stop.
Drive past and find a legal place to stop further on.
Look for arrows on the plate showing where the zone starts and ends.
Treat a continuous yellow line along the kerb the same way.
