What it means
What does the two way traffic sign mean in NSW?
Two thick black arrows stand side by side on a white plate, the left one pointing up and the right one pointing down, with TWO WAY in black underneath. You usually meet it where a one way street finishes. Past the sign, vehicles travel in both directions on the same road, so the lane to your right may now carry oncoming traffic. Keep left and watch for cars heading at you.
What to do
1
Move to the left side of the road as you pass the sign.
2
Expect oncoming cars, especially around bends and parked vehicles.
3
Drop the one way habit of using whichever lane looks clearest.
