What it means
What does the right lane must turn right sign mean in NSW?
Five lines of black capitals, RIGHT, LANE, MUST, TURN, RIGHT, fill a tall white plate with no arrow at all. The words are the whole message. Every vehicle in the right lane, cars, trucks and buses alike, has to turn right at the next intersection. If you want to go straight, you need to be out of that lane before you reach the corner, and only when moving over is safe.
What to do
1
Read lane signs early and pick your lane well before the corner.
2
Change lanes before the intersection only when there is a safe gap.
3
If you are stuck in the lane, turn right and find another way round.
