With stop signs both ways, both cars stop, then you give way to the oncoming car turning left before turning right.
Road Rules 2014 (NSW) rule 72Asked in general knowledgeShown in 2 practice questions
What it means
Both stop signs: you turn right, they turn left: what is the rule?
Each approach has a red STOP sign and a solid white stop line. Opposite the yellow car, a white car has stopped and signals left, carrying disc 1, into the street on its left. The yellow car has stopped too and signals right, carrying disc 2, toward that same street. Stopping first does not change the order: the left turn clears before the right turn.
What to do
1
Come to a full stop at your line.
2
Watch the driver opposite and read their indicator.
3
Let the left turning car go first, then make your right turn.
